The Halfway There Reading Series takes place quarterly at the Red Eye Cafe in Montclair, New Jersey. Bringing together established and emerging voices, as well as local and visiting writers of fiction, nonfiction and poetry, the series is an exciting addition to Montclair's vibrant artistic community. Each event features four readers and is followed by an audience Q&A session. Red Eye coffee and snacks will be available for purchase and Watchung Booksellers is on site with books for sale.

The idea for the series was born when host Apryl Lee tried to help New Jersey native Nicole Haroutunian find a spot to read from her new book in her home state. Realizing that the reading series they were looking for didn't exist, they decided to start one!

Halfway There has featured nearly fifty writers in its first three years and is excited to bring more literary voices to Montclair in season four.
